Limits
Things worth knowing before you quote a number.
Data
- Pauses in the data feed don't show. Billing and cluster data come from an upstream feed. When it pauses, charts look normal but end at the pause. If the latest numbers look flat, ask the maintainers whether the feed is current.
- Company names are typed in by hand. One customer can appear under two spellings, and the occasional test account slips through as a customer.
- Customer tier covers profiled customers only. Companies without a customer profile are Untiered; a tier change takes up to an hour to show.
- Availability-zone data is refreshed on demand, from BYOC Summary's "Update AZ data" button, not continuously.
- Environment tags are rare, so most clusters show as "unknown" environment.
- Scaling events start on 14 June 2026; nothing earlier is recorded.
Charts
- BYOC Trends hides partial periods by default. Turn on Include Partial Periods to see the current, unfinished period; expect it to look like a drop.
- Monthly and quarterly cores are fleet-wide: they can't be filtered by customer, and they cover the top-100 clusters only.
- Stopped clusters have no topology on BYOC Summary's Clusters tab.
- Click-filters grey out the matching filter. After clicking a Cluster ID (or name), the Cluster ID (or Cluster Name) filter is disabled until you clear the chip. That's how Looker works.
- BYOC Consumption and BYOC Free Trials are early versions with a single chart each. Free Trials starts with "Is Free Tier" set to No.
