BYOC Summary

Open in Looker

The fleet as it is right now: how many customers, accounts and clusters BYOC has, and how those clusters break down by cloud, status, version, environment, deployment type, creation method, security features and customer tier. The Clusters tab lists every customer and cluster with usage, topology and availability-zone placement.

Who's counted

Every chart counts the same population: active, external customer accounts and their non-deleted, non-free-tier clusters. Stopped clusters are included. Internal CelerData accounts are left out.

Filters

FilterWhat it does
CustomerNarrows to one or more customers. Type in lowercase: canada finds "Government of Canada".
Cluster IDNarrows to specific clusters.
StarRocks VersionNarrows to clusters on a version, e.g. 4.1%.
# Live Clusters in AccountNarrows to accounts with that many live clusters: 5, >=5, [2,10].
Cluster NameNarrows to clusters by name.
Customer TierS, A, B, C or Untiered.

Every chart responds to every filter, with one exception: "on 3.5.x" ignores StarRocks Version (it has its own version rule).

Running vs StoppedCluster status.
Clusters by Version4.0+, pre-4.0, unknown.
Clusters by Envprod, non-prod, unknown, from the cluster's environment tag.
CN Group / ElasticCompute-node deployments; ELASTIC vs CLASSIC clusters.

Accounts and ClustersEach customer (company) with its tier and cluster count. Click a company to narrow the other tables to it.
Accounts per CustomerThe accounts behind each customer.
Cluster DetailOne row per cluster: Cluster ID, name, status, type, version, created date, cloud, region, AZ mode, nodes, vCPU, memory, and CCU (last 24 h, 7-day and 30-day daily averages, this week / month / year, all time).
TopologyThe running node groups of each cluster: FE and WAREHOUSE groups for ELASTIC clusters, FE and BE groups for CLASSIC clusters, with instance type, node count, AZs, vCPU and memory.
Update AZ dataRefreshes availability-zone placement on demand (about 2.5 minutes).

Good to know

  • Stopped clusters have no running nodes, so Topology shows an empty row for them.
  • "Clusters by Env": environment tags are rarely set, so most clusters show as "unknown".
  • Customer tier comes from the customer profile and is refreshed hourly; see Definitions.
